Impulse Response of Frequency Domain Component

If you are running a transient simulation on a frequency domain defined component (such as transmission line, a multi-layer component, or an S-parameter block), how do you know whether ADS convolution engine has given you a right representation of the impulse response of the component?

Can you trust your time domain results? The answer is Yes. This tutorial will show you how to generate impulse response for a frequency domin defined component. The engine will simultaniously provide the Fourier transform of the impulse response — impulse spectrum. You can then compare this impulse spectrum with your original S-parameter data to believe on accuracy of simulations in ADS.
